CHRISTMAS BAZAAR root
One of the main purposes of the IWCM is to raise funds for its charity projects. The club often reaches out to people in need in this country, and thus makes a positive contribution. Individual members will visit and deliver donations to children’s institutions, including schools and orphanages, and spend time with the children. All of our humanitarian actions are conducted on a volunteer basis, and thus all donations go directly to the beneficiary groups. Funds for the charity projects come from three sources: sponsors in the community, individual membership dues, and the annual charity Christmas Bazaar. The Christmas Bazaar is our most important fundraising event. The annual Christmas Bazaar is supported by embassies, Montenegrin companies, and individuals. Since its inception, the IWCM has organized six Christmas Bazaars. The Christmas Bazaar of 2010 raised €26,642.18 and the funds were donated to help renovate the Children’s Hospital. The 2011 Christmas Bazaar raised a total of €25,220.53. The funds will go to the Center for Education and Professional Rehabilitation of Children and Youth with Disabilities. The Christmas Bazaar thus has become a significant fund-raising event enjoyed by thousands of people.
